Carly and Sean
At the beautiful Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City, Sean and Carly said their vows outside with the lush landscaping of the golf course and the mountains behind. After a fun grand entrance with their wedding party, they had their first dance to "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls. The buffet was absolutely delicious, followed by toasts and tons of fun dancing. This was a lively and fun crowd who was down for anything. Many thanks to Carly for inviting me to be the DJ and emcee, and also a big shout out to Tina at Boulder Creek for taking care of all the details so that everything looked and tasted fabulous! Also want to introduce a new BC photographer Alicia Arcidiacono with Chasing Chicadees photography. She was a joy to work with and took absolutely gorgeous photos of every memory a couple would want at their wedding.

A Christmas Wedding! This back yard reception, in the cold of December, heated up as the guest found their groove on the dance floor. There were plenty of heaters spread around the back yard, but guests soon abandoned them for the warmth and fun of the dance floor. I had a great time and stayed warm while spinning tunes for this fun couple. There were many old friends to re-connect with as well!

In a quiet Vegas culdesac, Felicity and Tim held their backyard reception on a lovely May evening as friends and family gathered to celebrate their wedding. There was lots of great mixing and mingling along with the fun Shoe Game, and the boquet toss was wild. What a fun night to dance udner the stars and celbrate such a happy couple.

Danielle and Jarett
Under the stars and the twinkling bistro lights, Danielle and Jarett and their family and close group of friends danced the night away just a block from Container Park. We could hear the fire shooting out of the mechanical grasshopper from time to time! After we dined on delicious street tacos, we listened to some heartfelt toasts and then danced our butts off! It was so fun celebrating some of their traditions when it came to "Friends in Low Places" and "Piano Man." We ended the evening with "Toes" by Zac Brown Band even though the party seemed to end too soon. Thanks Danielle and Jarett for making me a part of the celebration!

Southland Corporation Company Picnic
Thank you to Southland for having Jackson and I DJ and Emcee their annual company picnic at Sunset Park. We rocked out to classic rock while gnoshing on some tasty barbeque brisquet, mashed potatoes and pinto beans. The cornhold tournament was lit, and it was just a great time hanging out and getting to know everyone. I think some of the other folks were enjoying the music as well, since we had it cranked! Great times!
Cathy and Sean
With the extraordinarily beautiful Cascada golf course as the backdrop, Cathy and Sean were married outside on an idyllic spring evening with the mountains behind and the stream gurgling nearby. Sometimes a place just has magic, and this was one of those places.
The reception began with the traditional Chinese Lion Dance, which was spectacle of drums and dance and color.
I don't know where they got the energy, but Cathy and Sean and their guests partied hard for 5.5 hours non-stop! It was so great to see everyone having such a great time. Kudos to Cathy, who spent about a year planning the perfect evening. It won't be one easily forgotten.

The Sunset Station Sunset Room was transformed with decorated trees and fluffly, illuminated clouds hanging from the ceiling. It was really cool and unique, like getting married in heaven. Duncan performed a perfect ceremony in his Scottish brogue and the newlyweds were cheered during their recessional as "Marry You" by Bruno Mars played.
After dining on the delicious buffet, which featured wedge cut salads, the best mashed potatoes ever and steak, chicken and salmon, guests danced the night away to hits from the 70s through today. The Little River Band's "Cool Change" made the dance floor irresistible, even during dinner! LOL. This was a group of DANCERS! The father of the groom said his "dogs were barkin'" from so much dancing at the end of the night! Another highlight was the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had. The sprinkling crunch of raw sugar on top blended heavenly with the raspberry filling. I could've eaten ten of those things! I ended up dancing at end by invitation of the groom's mother as Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" closed out a perfect evening.

Emma and Jared
Whoo hoo! This was such a fun backyard wedding reception! The weather, for once, cooperated! It was a gorgeous evening with no wind. I told Jared and Emma's love story, how they met at the fire station and even had a play fire engine to show as I related their story to their guests. It was really unique and everyone loved it. Dancing under the stars after feasting on some pulled pork nachos was especially sweet! A sparkler send off ended a wonderful evening to celebrate the newlyweds.

Loni's 50th Birthday Bash
The room was decked out like a wedding! So many friends and family member showed up to help Loni mark the occasion with fun and flare. 90s hip hop ruled the night, and the guests had such a great time socializing and throwing down some great food and dance moves. I got so into the party that I forgot to take any pictures.
Raegan and Shay
Raegan wore one of my favorite wedding dresses ever. It was a bohemian style lace dress that was flowy and fun, and it fit her personality perfectly. She had so much fun dancing with her friends that we weren't ready for the party to end. Perfectly decorated with a dropped ceiling and lights and retro furniture and shabby-sheik decor that matched perfectly. Such a great night despite it being stormy outside. We were warm and doing the Conga inside! Thanks to our long-time friends The Crabtrees for asking me to DJ/Emcee the reception.

The church cultural hall was transformed into a beautiful and fun atmosphere with real wood tables, a soda shack and some great food from Olive Garden! Sicily and Will
This Halloween-themed wedding was spooky fun! Held at the Sonic Temple in downtown Las Vegas, the venue added to the Halloween ambience and everyone's costumes were LIT! I think Cruella DeVil's costume won the night, but there were so many great ones. Super fun night with everyone charged up for a good time. The night was enhanced by performances from Will and Sicily's daughters and a Haunted Mansion wedding cake that was beyond all imagination. Will and Sicily were the perfect hosts, and everyone had such a great time that no one wanted to leave!

Weddings at The Doyle never disappoint! The location simply adds a cool, chill vibe, and the guests feel relaxed and ready to have a great time, even if it's super windy outside like it was today. After the beautiful ceremony, the newlyweds rolled back in to "Roll Out" by Ludacris as part of their grand entrance. It set the theme for a lot of great 90s music later in the evening. Between the amazing street tacos, the Best Man's American Flag style Crocs (yes, he wore them for the grand entrance!), delicious Crumble cookies and tons of great music, it was a night to remember! Big shout-out to wedding planner Taylor Cheney who made everything run smoothly and kept everyone happy!

The first taste of an outdoor spring wedding at a gorgeous private residence overlooking beautiful Las Vegas. It was a perfect evening of fun, food, family and friends for Leslie and Brody. This has become a family tradition, since I DJ'd their parents wedding 25 years ago when I was just getting started back in the day. It was great to reconnect with everyone at such a great reception!

This was such a fun location! Literally a few feet away from the ever-circling HighRoller, guests could watch from the open air balcony on a perfect November evening. So much fun tonight with Chelsea and Dan and their guests from Georgia and Minnesota. As the sun set, the party got rolling, ending the night with a sing-a-long of "Man, I Feel Like a Woman!" by request, of course!

Temple Bar Marina Halloween Party
I'd never played at Temple Bar before, and it was a beautiful night for a Halloween party, complete with appetizers, pulled pork, chicken wings and jalapeno poppers! And of course, lots of great classic rock, 80s, 90s, hip hop, country and even some Metallica and RUSH thrown in there! It was a great evening with very kind and generous hosts.
Nerf Gun Battle and Social
Battle stations! The two teams loaded up their Nerf guns, strategized for a few minutes and then took up positions among inflatable obstacles and wooden pallets. And the games were on...boys (Zombies) against the girls (Destroyers). The Nerf war battles went back and forth, with the girl's team winning some and then the boy's team making a comeback and eventually winning the tournament. As the sun set, cell phone lights were used to retrieve the spent foam darts followed by delicious custom-made individual pizzas fired up in the oven on site. It was so fun, that on one wanted to leave...but someone had to be home to put the kids to bed! :-)
Michelle and Troy
As the sun was just beginning to set, Troy and Michelle were wed with the absolutely stunning Boulder Creek Golf Club as the backdrop. Afterwards, they enjoyed cocktails, a delicious pasta dinner followed by dancing and mingling in the lounge.

Kaitlyn and Nick
October is the best month for outdoor weddings, and this was the perfect evening to be outdoors. With the mountains and sunset as a backdrop, Kaitlyn and Nick said their vows, their guests seated around the pool reflecting an azure October sky. Then, guests dined on street tacos made from tortillas that were hand made on site. These guests were then ready to party! Sooooo much fun dancing, and later, if a mass jump into the pool while Van Halen's "Jump" played in the background! Instead of a sparkler send-off, guests danced with sparkler's in hand singing "So light 'em up, up, up" from Fall Out Boys "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark." Party was so lit we went into overtime, with guests dancing long into the late hours of the night. Great group of partiers tonight with very gracious hosts. This will be one to remember for quite some time!

Rachel and Blake
My first visit to the new Lotus House was awesome! This venue is really cool, and it would be even better in October/November or February/March when you could have some seating/events outside. Because it was like 108 degrees, we stayed inside, and the air conditioning worked great! Blake and Rachel greeted their guests as they entered through the humongous front doors. Guests nibbled on the delicious catering from David Watkins Heavenly Creations. All the girls wore the cutest bohemian dresses, which made the reception seem that much more organized and beautiful since everything matched.
Then, when the dancing began, I could not believe my eyes! I've never seen guests hit the dance floor so hard and go non-stop for so long! It was like a year and a half of pent-up energy from being in quarantine was suddenly released. These people were READY TO PARTY! It was soo much fun that none of us wanted to stop. The newlyweds exited to through a tunnel of glittering sparklers out the back, the doors of the back wall all having been removed. Perfect ending.

The Buffalo and Robindale Chapel was transformed into a country backyard with tons of great food, including mounds and mounds of donuts! After a beautiful ring ceremony, it was clear that the guests were thrilled to be out and at an event, as they mingled and nibbled on culinary hors d'oeuvres. Guests could hardly wait to start dancing, as several asked me if it was appropriate to start dancing before the bride and groom's first dance. We quickly accommodated their request, and the dancing began in earnest. Great time with both families, and also great to see some old friends as well. It was also my first time working with Angry Wombat Video, and they were both professional and fun to work with and got some great shots of reception. The sparkler send off was a perfect, fairy-tale ending, and Jessica B Photography was out there to capture the newlyweds as they left, while Katy Perry's "Fireworks" played in the background.

Carrie and Kevin
October brought beautiful weather, and with it, a storybook wedding in Carrie and Kevin's back yard. From the fun intro of the groomsmen, you could tell this was going to be a lively and engaging wedding. The first dance was a ten-minute mix of all kinds of great music, with an AWESOME choreographed dance to match. There were maracas and even a scene from Dirty Dancing thrown in the mix. What a lovely evening, and a great way for people to beat the humdrum of quarantine. Cap that off with the longest sparklers I had ever seen, and the grand exit topped off a wonderful evening.

Trevor and Monica
Well, it was bound to happen. It hadn't rained in Vegas since January, and today, it decided to rain and get windy for this outdoor wedding and reception! Luckily, the site had a huge shop area that was quickly converted into a beautiful ceremony wedding, and as the ceremony ended, so did the rain! The tables and chairs were moved back onto the lawn, the dance floor was opened, and the party raged on in full force. Everyone seemed so excited to be there for Trevor and Monica...and after months and months of quarantine, they were ready to party!
I've heard a lot of ceremonies, but the bishop had a few profound words that I felt were worth noting. First, he said to the newlyweds, "He or she comes before others, before family, before friends. Be husband and wife first." And then, he quoted an elementary schooler who was asked, "How do you know when someone loves you," who replied, "When someone loves you, they say your name differently." I thought these were both pretty profound. Great ceremony followed by a fun and entertaining reception. After being quarantined for so long, people were ready to party! This backyard reception was beautifully decorated, and everyone was up for a good time. The Cinderella type carriage was a big hit with the Disney-aged kids, and the soft serve ice cream was big hit for everyone! Plus, for the Grand Exit, guests showered the newlyweds with sprigs of lavender, which smelled awesome afterwards!

The Doyle | Las Vegas
This is a sweet location. Industrial with exposed beams, edgy and cool. Plus, it has live llamas that you can pet and take photos with! Legit. This was a super fun wedding/reception with a airline theme, since the groom and a lot of his friends and family are pilots. Each table was named after a place that Kailey and Alan had visited. To dismiss the tables, I played a song that thematically fit one of the tables, and the guests had to figure out, by listening to the lyrics, if that song applied to them. It was a hit, and everyone was trying to bend the lyrics of the song to fit their table! Another cool aspect of this wedding was the wedding painter. She painted the first dance...live! It was sooooo cool! If you are looking for that extra something to add to your wedding, this was definitely a huge hit with the guests. This was one of those weddings I won't soon forget. It was great to be a part of it!

Who knew February would be the perfect time for a wedding? Weather was gorgeous, and so was the banquet room at Cascada. With Nick and Rachel both being local Henderson residents, they had hundreds of guests and well-wishers. This wedding reception was sooooo fun! I didn't think there was any way that the guests would stay outside in the cold evening and dance for three hours straight, but they did! It was off the hook fun! They didn't have a chance of getting cold because they were dancing so much. It was great to play a lot of songs from the early 2000s, a period of great party songs. The Boulder Creek Pavilion was transformed with custom made furniture, old fashioned doors and burlap over the chairs, creating a rustic, country feeling that was perfect for this Bayden and Michael, who served up corn dogs and fries, one of Bayden's favorite foods, along with a bevy of sweet treats. It was great to see so many guys take over the dance floor with enthusiasm and a contagious energy that got the reception lit. It was an honor to be asked to DJ another Huxford wedding. The grand entrance was unique and fun because each person had a short bio that revealed their connection to the bride or groom. The catering by Dave Watkins was sumptuous as usual. This group came to party! I've done several of their family events before, and they are always ready to let the music take them away. Two hours went by in a blink! It was great to reconnect with folks I hadn't seen in awhile! Great party!

Singles Dance at Cholla
The Singles were livin' it up at this Spring Fling dance at the Cholla Stake Center. Though few in numbers due to Spring Break, they had whooped it up and had a great time. Friendships were made and romance bloomed.

90s Hip Hop continues to make a comeback, as the ladies hit the dance floor to some Salt 'N Peppa. It turned into a gorgeous evening, with bistro lights strung overhead and an azure sky that faded to a beautiful sunset. Back yard parties, when the weather cooperates, are the best!

Ricky and Crystal
Back at one of my favorite outdoor venues, the Little Chapel on the Corner, Ricky and Crystal celebrated in perfect spring weather! The country playlist was the perfect backdrop for the casual atmosphere and tasty barbeque. This reception was a lot of fun with a cool, low key, chill vibe that allowed everyone to let loose and be themselves.

In the beautifully-decorated backyard, the newlyweds exchanged vows under a crisp blue sky. Guests lingered under the canopy of lights and then danced to a fun blend of music from the multiple decades thanks to a perfect playlist that the newlyweds knew their guests would love. From AC/DC to Imagine Dragons to Blake Shelton, there was something for everyone.

Youth Dance @ Anthem
With 550 teens crowding into the Anthem Stake Center, it was bound to be a fun time! I was surprised that so many of the requests were from the 80s and 90s. Teens love the older music! And of course, there were lots of great slow dances....as requested! Still LOVE doing these dances!
Throwback Dance
This throwback dance was a BLAST! I knew when I got the playlist that this was going to be loads of fun. Lots of 70s, 80s, and 90s music for this party. The only problem was that we wore everyone out with all the dancing! We even had a little SKA in there! When we did "Rock Lobster," and everyone went down on the floor, it looked more like naptime instead of people doing the worm! Haha. What a great time! Let's do it next year!
Singles Dance
My first gig of the year was a winner! The singles were ready to party, and we spent the night ripping up the dance floor to some awesome 80s, 90s and current hits with a little country thrown in too! There was a great turnout, and the red LED lighting I set up helped create that sweetheart vibe. Can't wait till next time! Sorry, forgot to take pictures of this one! Just got the set up shot and then lost myself in the event! Next time!
Apo and Casey
December 8, 2018
It was the perfect December day for an outdoor wedding. At the Lake Las Vegas Hilton, Apo and Casey were married in a gorgeous courtyard ceremony with a large fire pit as the centerpiece. Then the reception moved lakeside to the pavilion with long, beautiful views of the lake as the sun set. Inside, the blue and silver room beckoned guests to a sumptuous sit down dinner before we opened the dance floor to some favorite Motown hits. We paid homage to Apo’s Greek heritage by playing Greek music that had the guests going round in circles and yelling “Oooopa!” It was a fun and rowdy night, and I’m sure the after party was a big hit as well.

Josh and Taylor
This outdoor reception was sooooo fun. As guests entered, they could pick up a warm blanket and curl up by the fire pit or one of the heaters after getting a steaming cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was cozy and intimate poolside, and the girls belted out many of the lyrics to their favorite songs. The blankets started coming off as the dance floor heated up. A sparkler send off finished off the night, and Josh and Taylor were on their way to living their best lives together.

Ryan and Ashlyn
As the temperatures dropped outside, things were heating up inside at the Alexander Chapel, which sported Roman columns and a dropped light ceiling. Ryan and Ashlyn had a very eventful cake cutting, with cake getting everywhere, and that just led to more fun as we learned more about them during the shoe game. Such a fun couple, and FUN guests too, who showed me some love from the dance floor. Best wishes to an already very happy couple.

This was a fun wedding reception inside the Bad Beat Brewery. Lauren and Scott kept it casual with their easy-going personalities, and with it being in a brewery, there was never a fear of running out of something to drink. 90s Hip Hop was the favored genre of the night, with a little Bon Jovi thrown in for good measure!

This could not have been a more perfect evening! The weather was absolutely beautiful for this outdoor wedding/reception at the Historic 5th Street School in downtown Old School Las Vegas. Everything was just absolutely perfect, from the decorations to the weather to the dance mix that got everyone up under the stars. The food, I must say, was absolutely exceptional as well. Thanks to the newlyweds for providing a meal for me!

Todd proposed to LesLee atop one of the most beautiful mountains in Switzerland--Mt. Pilatus--overlooking Lake Lucerne. That romance continued under the stars in Boulder City at the Forge. A romantic ring ceremony began a night of romance and fun as MacKenzie and Ryan told about how they met in a college classroom during one class together. As the weather cleared, the newlyweds exited through a shower of sparklers.

This afternoon reception at Desert Shores was absolutely fun. The bride and groom had some very original ideas, from including movie soundtrack themes during dinner to playing party games. Lots of folks from all over the country came together for the fun and left making new friends and adding new family into their lives. Some of the best toasts I ever heard were at this wedding. Kudos to such fine folks for traveling all the way to Las Vegas to celebrate with Josh and Stephanie. (Sorry...I was so wrapped up in the reception I forgot to take pictures!)

This was the fourth event I'd done for this extended family, and their parties are always exceptional! Even though the air conditioning couldn't keep up on this hot, sultry evening, Erin and Tyler and their guests didn't let that stop them from having a great time. They partied on the dance floor for hours and then had a grand exit lit by the ambiance of sparklers held by their guests.

The Sienna Ballroom was host to the reception for Tori and Nick. After a beautiful wedding at the temple, they and their guests descended upon a beautifully-decorated room, gnoshing on delicacies prepared by David Watkins catering. The Father-Bride was a fun surprise mix of about 10 different songs custom made by Tori's father, with really added a unique and fun aspect to the event. It was such a fun night, and was one of those events that seemed to end too soon...but those are the best kind.

Once again, the Little Chapel on the Corner pulled off a win for being a spectacular outdoor venue on a perfect spring evening. Parties here are so much fun. Kaitlyn provided a perfect playlist of country and Southern rock, a nice change from the ubiquitous hip hop. She and Stephen dance beautifully together, like they took a class or something. (Hint...they did.) One unique and fun activity was that guests could vote for either the bride or groom to get cake in the face during the cake cutting ceremony....and they voted for Kaitlyn! It turned into a fun wedding cake skirmish, with both of the newlyweds getting covered in sweet frosting.

Bethany and Neil
April 14, 2018
The guests came from 11 different states to join with Bethany and Neil at Maggiano's Italian Restaurant in the Fashion Show Mall to celebrate their wedding day. The reception was the culmination of an extended week of fun, and you could easily see these folks loved being together. Neil Jr. said that this group would probably keep it low key and not dance much, if at all. Ha! Instead, the dance floor was packed, and the high point came when guests surrounded the newlyweds at the end and sang EVERY WORD to Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." It was such a fun reception, and all of the guests I spoke with were so friendly and kind and ready to have a good time. It was great to be a part of a group of people who really have a love for life and for each other.

Eldorado Stake Youth Conference

When Howard Hughes sold this property to the LDS church in the 70s, he had no idea how much fun the youth would have out here in 2018. The Friday night Pool Party was legit, with the youth enjoying the warm spring water in both pools, rocking to the music and just hanging out with friends.
The next night was the capstone of fun with a high energy dance, even though many were tired from lack of sleep the night before! Great weekend of fun, music, service and spirituality. Thanks to all the leaders who made it awesome! Credit to Brian Sargeant for taking the awesome pool party pictures.

Darrin and Rhonda
March 24, 2018
So we can't talk about this reception without first talking about the cake, because the cake was sort of a Big Deal from the get-go!
First, the cake was decorated beautifully and was displayed very nicely as well, but some imperfection in the baking left the the middle tier a bit lopsided, and it continued to increase its rate-of-lean throughout the early evening. It would have been perfect if the wedding's theme was a sort of Dr. Seuss look, because it really did look cool, like it was Meant to lean, but after some attempts were made to prop it up, it was decided to go ahead and cut it before the inevitable occurred, which was fine because it certainly made for lively conversation and a bit of fun anxiety throughout the dinner hour.
Rhonda and Darrin both were the epitome of class as they danced their first dance together at Canyon Gate, the gorgeous golf course view appearing in the twilight as the sun set behind the Red Rock mountains.
It was great to see so many of their guests, from 8 to 80 having a fun time together on the dance floor, often dancing in groups or in a circle. There was a comfort level here that is not always present at wedding receptions. The guests were willing to really put themselves out there and get a little bit crazy and have some fun among their tight-knit family and friends.

Spring Fling!
March 24, 2018: 2-5 p.m.
Thanks to Guild Mortgage for sponsoring me at the Spring Fling. It was a bit windy, and at times we thought several of the canopies were going to go airborne, but we made it, and it was a lot of fun entertaining all the parents and kids who came out to celebrate spring and Easter. Hula hoops and limbo were big hits with the kids. Thanks to Kaden for helping me load out quickly so I could get to the next event on time. :-)

I could tell this was going to be a fun reception when the bridal party, who was there early, started groovin to the sound check songs! It just increased from there, starting with a fairly tale stair case entrance and becoming an all out jam as I kicked the party into the 128 BPM gear. So much fun, and we could have gone a good hour longer. Karlee and Michael were right there in the middle of the dance floor the whole time, surrounded by their family and friends. Such a great night, and I was happy to be a part of this fun couple's celebration.

Marty's retirement party
July 22, 2017
After flying airplanes for many years, Marty had his final approach and touchdown from Southwest Airlines and celebrated among friends and family at the Boulder Creek Pavilion. Wife Claudia hosted, and guests had a fun time answering quiz questions about Marty's life that she created. Afterwards, there was dancing and lots of catching up with old friends. It was fun to have the opportunity to play some fun 60s and 70s tunes as well. Pictured below is a picture of Marty's retirement cake, which was even cooler in person.

This summer themed dance was a great event, starting off with ballroom dance instruction wit Arnel and continuing late into the evening with songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today's hits, which makes it really fun as we celebrate the best hits of the last couple decades. It also makes for some really interesting mixing opportunities!

Right smack in the middle of summer vacation, it was time to party as youth from all over the Vegas and Henderson Valley came to meet new friends and let loose some of that pent up Summer energy on the dance floor. Group participation dances are still the biggest hits of the night, but as the night grew older, requests for more slow dances trickled in as summer romances began to bloom...all right!

Rodney and Violet

After transforming the Cholla Street Chapel into a fairy tale-like banquet room, the newlyweds celebrated their earlier marriage with a heartfelt ring ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Later, guests lit up the dance floor, moving to songs like "Can't Stop the Feeling" and the "Cupid Shuffle." Great food and fun, and the choreographed dance with Violet's daughters and son was a fun highlight.
First Dance: "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler
Dance with Kids: "Dear Future Husband" by Megan Trainer

Hayden and Danielle

As the sun set, Hayden and Danielle began their wedding celebration with an intimate back yard ring ceremony followed by food and dancing under the stars. The party was so good, that even a drone flew over to film the action! You know it's a party when men wearing kilts show up! During the Shoe Game, Hayden and Danielle got to know themselves a little better, and their guests and family laughed as they answered questions about their future together. A great night of fun, family and love.

As always, DJing the youth dances are so fun. I think these guys were ready for school to be out and for summer to start, because this place was lit.

Diego and Jenna

It was a pleasure to DJ/Emcee for the fun and lively guests at Diego and Jenna's reception at the beautiful Sienna Country Club. Everyone was so gracious and kind and ready for a good time. You could tell that everyone just loved the newlyweds, as they all wanted to be a part of all the wedding events. We could have partied a few more hours, but the night ended beautifully as sparklers lit up the late April evening, guiding Jenna and Churro to their awaiting car where their journey as a couple began.

Ok, so who has ever been to a party out in the middle of the desert? These guys! It was so fun being able to have the music loud, and no one else around, dancing under the stars as these youth celebrated their Just Ask youth conference.

Gorgeous evening under the stars as we celebrated the wedding of Nathan and Jill amid a candle lit park in beautiful Boulder City. You couldn't have PAID for nicer weather. Had a great time entertaining their guests and meeting up with some old friends. Congratulations to the new Capps family as they start their journey together.

It might have been cold and rainy outside, but it was warm and friendly inside at the Hollywood and Stewart chapel. Beautiful decorations transformed the cultural hall into wedding paradise. After the receiving line, the newlyweds celebrated with their first dance and then parent dances, during which they invited other moms/sons and dads/daughters to join them on the dance floor. Such a fun-lovin' crowd, and we whipped them into a dancing frenzy until Seth and Alyssa departed amid a cascade of sparks with a sparkler send off.

Eric and Tiffany Wedding and Frank and Judy Vow Renewal
January 14, 2017
First wedding of the year! This was a dual celebration as Frank and Judy celebrated 50 years of marriage with a touching vow renewal ceremony followed by Tiffany and Erik taking their own vows on the same stage. A fun celebration followed with hits from the 60s taking pride of place on the dance floor. I know some of those folks will be feeling their adventurous dance floor moves tomorrow! Great time with even better people! Thanks for coming all the way down from Oregon to celebrate in Vegas!

Set in the rustic and beautiful Legends Ranch, Chloe, Justin and their guests braved some brief sprinkles of rain and enjoyed a gorgeous ring ceremony and reception. During the first dance, it was cool to see the leaves falling amid the candle light. There is not another place like this in Vegas. The heaters kept everyone toasty up until the newlyweds departed with a spectacular sparkler exit.

Just before Christmas weddings are always the best. Everyone is stoked for a few days off and family time, and this reception was no different. Ryan and Madelyn and their friends and family were ready to party! It seemed like it all ended too soon, and the newlyweds were off to the honeymoon amid a shower of sparklers. This was my second wedding for the Walker family, and they really know how to have a good time!

I knew this was going to be a fun crowd when, even in the receiving line, the bridesmaids started singing and dancing along to the music! James and Megan were great dancers, and it was easy to see, as they bounced out to the dance floor and spun each other around that they were there to make this day the best day of their lives...so far! Great crowd participation starts with a lively bride and groom, and this couple had that in spades. So fun to be a part of this wonderful wedding reception.

This was an awesome reception! The guests arrived directly from the ceremony, and it must have been a good one, because they were ready to party as soon as they stepped into the beautifully decorated cultural hall. Lots of fun ensued. Daniel and Sabrina were a lively couple who inspired their friends and family to have a good time. Great to be a part of such a fun reception!

I loved the sunflower decor at this reception! I even got to have some on my speakers so I blended in! Megan and James were such a fun and energetic couple, and you could see that their friends and family were excited to be there to celebrate their special day. They were good sports, working the Conga line and participating in all the line dances too! Thanks for having me for your Wedding Entertainment!

The cultural hall was transformed with a gorgeous dropped ceiling and sheer draping, the perfect setting for Blake and Alexandria's wedding reception, just a moments away from the temple, where they were married for all eternity. Lots of fun with so many kids out there enjoying the spirit of the day. Great to meet up with old friends as well. The glitter send off was amazing, but I was thankful to not be on the clean up crew!

Billy and Jamie
October 29, 2016
Billy and Jamie planned the perfect day for their wedding/reception, which was outside at the Henderson Convention Center. The peaceful October evening was the perfect backdrop for a Halloween-themed reception, with skulls and spiders decorating tables and a smiling, friendly bartender with a top hat serving up the beverages. As the night wore on, guests turned the last hour into a rowdy and fun sing-a-long, belting out fan favorites like "Don't Stop Believin,'" "American Pie," "Piano Man" and "Friends in Low Places." A great time under the stars!

DJ Jackson helmed this party over at Big B's Barbeque. The West family hosted the fun-filled evening as the families got to know each other a bit better before the big wedding day. Tasty food and drink, mingled with a little Garth Brooks sing-a-long made for a great time.

This wedding reception took advantage of the beautiful October weather to host a backyard soiree under the stars. It was touch and go for a minute when the power went out, but after we moved some cords and flipped some breakers, we were ready to party for the rest of the night! Hits from the 70s, 80s and today all made appearances as guests danced and laughed till the newlyweds departed amid aisle of sparklers.

Cody and Tersa were always surrounded by their fun-loving family and friends, whether it was just mixing and mingling or kickin it on the dance floor. You could tell that this couple was well-loved. Thoroughly enjoyed DJing the United Fighting Arts Federation dance. After several days of sparring and other UFAF events, these guys were ready to party! Great speeches by Mr. Chuck Norris and Mr. Ken Gallagher, both of whom shared some transcendent personal stories. Grateful to be a part of this event and part of the fun again this year.

The love story of Lance and Rebekah was so fun to share with the guests. It involved bugs, pranks, stealing kisses, a tarantula via UPS, and a romantic proposal out at Lake Las Vegas. This couple was so fun to work with, and their guests were awesome, getting the conga line going and dancing to all the fun songs. It ended too soon, but both Papa Sanchez and Papa Barkdull had some awesome speeches as the newlyweds prepared to embark on their life together, starting with a Bahamas honeymoon! Thanks for making me part of your wonderful day.

June 25 2016
You could tell that this bridal party had practiced the ring ceremony the night before, because everything went so smoothly, and everyone knew where to go. The gorgeous, chandelier-lit dropped ceiling by Arlene transported us to the ballroom of fairytales, and the Italian sodas (with whipped cream too) were a huge hit. Loved that this four-hour reception left time for dancing, which was great, because this crew was ready to hit the dance floor! Got to play some old school nineties hits, like "Walk it Out" and "1, 2 Step," which were floor-fillers and great fun. After dancing non stop for hours, it was time for the light saber send off, which turned out really cool. Loved this partying crew!

Nathan and Amaris
May 21, 2016
Escorted by her father, Amaris walked down the aisle as Nathan watched from the flowered archway as the ring ceremony began. It was the perfect finale after a beautiful temple ceremony earlier that morning. We learned a great deal about the newlyweds during their love story and later during the shoe game. Guests partied on the dance floor to hits from all eras, from the "Charleston" to the "Cupid Shuffle." Both the bouquet and garter were caught by younguns who weren't quite sure they wanted them after they learned they were traditionally the next to get married! Best wishes!

Alexa and Taylor
May 7, 2016
Many thanks to the Alexa and Taylor and their spirited guests, who didn't allow a little rain and chilly temperatures to deter them from having a great time and celebrating the day. As the sprinkling started, the dance floor heated up, and guests reveled in the beautifully-lit back yard, their reflections dancing on the shining concrete. There were some near-misses of guests falling in the pool, especially during the conga line, and finally, during the garter toss, one of the single guys finally went in but managed to catch the ever-elusive garter in process. Heck of a fun night that could have gone on another hour.

Ciera and Ray braved the elements this evening in Alamo during their country fair themed reception, replete with donuts, homemade root beer and even a corn dog food truck! The guests had so much fun, despite a few sprinkles and the temperature dropping into the low 50s. Everyone just had to dance to stay warm! The freshly-landscaped back yard was the perfect backdrop for this fun couple and their friends and family. The photo booth, provided by Skyler Smallwood's Shindig Photobooths, was a big hit as well, and Ciera and Ray will have a lot of fun memories from this evening.

The ceremony's backdrop was the peaceful and gorgeous Cascata golf club in Boulder City. As a fellow vendor (photographer), Sara and I met at two back to back weddings. Their day was perfect, the waterfall flowing in the background of their ceremony, great food and friends and family. And then a gorgeous sparkler send off. The best man's toast was so funny (intentionally). His Harry Carey impersonation was one for the record books. Look forward to seeing this local couple about town as they begin their wonderful life together.

Saturday Night Dance- Arrowhead
April 9, 2016
The third even this weekend, it was a great way to cap off a trifecta of great parties. Great turnout tonight and even a few dance offs. Gave some slow dance instruction to some of the newbies...and it worked! About 95 percent of the girls got asked during the last couple slow dances, so that was a big improvement from earlier. Great job guys!

Spring Fling Single Adult Dance
April 8, 2016
Doing double duty tonight. After DJing the fabulous Lindsay wedding reception I got to finish the night spinning tunes for the Single Adult Spring Fling at the Mission Building. This crowd is always so fun, and I love the hardcore crew who stay up till midnight...and then some! So fun getting to play a mix of songs from the 80s through today. Thanks to DJ Jackson for getting the party started! It's a four-gig weekend! Let's keep the party going!

Amanda and Tracy Lindsay
April 8, 2016
Amanda and Tracy Lindsay's reception was another Wharburton family PAR-TAY! This family knows how to have a good time, and it always seems like everyone knows everyone...which makes it that much more fun. Beautifully decorated by Arlene with Forever Yours Wedding Decor. (Sorry about the blurry shots. Had to use the phone instead of the good camera--I forgot.)

Youth Conference Dance @ Arrowhead
March 5, 2016
These guys were still ready to party after a full day of service and fun at Veteran's Memorial Park earlier that day at their Olympic Themed conference. We kept it going till 10 pm with an all-request hour, which made it more personal and fun. It was a really fun dance with lots of craziness and people just letting their crazy flag fly! There was also a lot of good slow dancing going on, as evidence by the photo below.

Valentine's Dance
February 10, 2016
Been doing this dance for a long time, and it's still a great time. I think there's a little bit more of romance in the air as more slow dances are requested on this evening! Nice. Wonderful turnout on a Wednesday too! Perhaps some new romances happened because of this dance? You never know.

Chris and Cheryl
January 2, 2016
My first wedding of the new year went great! Cheryl and Chris had decorated with a very cool rustic look--bales of hay, and deer antlers. It was super cool. A beautiful ring ceremony was followed by some touching toasts from Julie and Jordan, their Maid of Honor and Best Man. Later, between some fun dancing, the cake cutting turned into a cake fight! Loved the casual feel and the opportunity to let loose and have some fun with this crowd. Best wishes!

New Year's Eve Dance
December 31, 2015
Gatsby couldn't have planned a better evening at this Roarin' 20s throwback New Year's Eve Bash! Lots of pin-striped suits and flapper dresses with feather headpieces. Loved being able to play all kinds of music tonight, from the 20s to today. Balloon drop? Yeah, we had that too! Great way to bring in 2016! Happy New Year everyone!

Nathan and Shelby
December 29, 2015
Amid a custom-made backdrop of rustic tree limbs, Nathan and Shelby greeted their guests warmly. It was obvious that everyone was in a partying mood, as things kicked into high gear after the receiving line. Got some 80s flashbacks in there as well as some fun group participation songs including the conga line! Shelby and Nathan are great dancers, and it was clear that they love having a good time together. Best wishes to them as they start their life together.

Benjamin and Carli
December 19, 2015
Back to back weddings were so much fun, as the Udall family and friends returned for a second night of fun, food and dancing as Benjamin and Carli hosted their wedding reception at the Cholla St. Cultural Hall--which had been transformed into a beautiful white room. The dancers were back in full swing, and it was great to have so many ballroom dancers there to show off their best dance moves as couples. These two know how to have a good time, as evidenced by their spontaneous cake fight at the cake cutting ceremony! Great memories with a great family!

Stephen and Nichole
December 18, 2015
A magical evening as Steve and Nichole hosted a festive partying crowd who packed the dance floor on the first song! It was a rippin good time, ending with a brilliant sparkler sendoff. One of the evening's highlights was a special performance from the Pink Flamingos, brothers of Nichole, who put on a frenetic dance routine to "Macho Man." If someone hasn't already uploaded that video to Youtube, they need to! This couple knows how to have a good time, and their casual, fun energy was felt throughout the room.

Schofield Wedding
November 21, 2015
This wedding was beautifully decorated with panels--something I had not seen before, and their families made them themselves--even better! Had a great time with this lively couple and fun-loving guests, many of whom took advantage of the photobooth as well as the dance floor. Best wishes to this fun and gracious couple.

Anthem Stake Youth Dance
November 14, 2015
The Anthem stake always has great decorations with a theme, is well organized and well attended. I really enjoy entertaining the masses of young folks who dance their booties off for three hours straight! Hats off to Kevin Hyer and his youth crew for always putting on a top notch event every six months. See you next time!

Dalton and Aubrey
September 12, 2015
Love the local flavor of this Henderson wedding, where everyone knows everyone. It made for such a fun, casual atmosphere. Two great families came together here to host such a memorable event. There was such a warm, easy going vibe the whole afternoon. Thanks to Dalton and Aubrey for making me feel so welcome, like I was part of the family. Really enjoyed entertaining at this wedding/reception, and hope to see you guys all soon in March at the big birthday bash!

Sean and Yanisa
August 8, 2015
I love it when an audience listens attentively to the love story of the newlyweds, and this was the case as I told how Sean and Yanisa met, courted and eventually when Sean proposed in the same park where they shared their first kiss. Great, romantic story and wonderful segue into their first dance. Fun crowd who took advantage of dance floor and the cool photo booth hosted by The Perfect Shot. Best wishes to a great couple.

Chuck Norris Karate and Jujitsu Association recognition dinner, awards and dance
July 25, 2015
It was an honor to DJ for this special event. After many awards and special recognitions were handed out, the youth hit the dance floor enmasse, starting with a little "Uptown Funk," and gettin' rowdy to the new sounds of DJ Silento's "Watch Me Whip." The fun-lovin' crowd kept it real till midnight, which was closing time. It was great to see such a diverse group just let it loose in VEGAS!

Family Reunion
July 18, 2015
Despite cold and rainy conditions, this reunion dance warmed everyone right up. Cousins danced with cousins, aunts and uncles and even grandparents. Some of the younger crew got flexible with the limbo, and some folks learned how to do the Cupid Shuffle and the Cotton Eye Joe. The dance became one of the reunion highlights, and the only complaint was that some feet were achin' the next morning after all that dancin' and carryin' on.

Tricia and Neil
July 11, 2015
The Las Vegas Paiute resort came alive as Tricia and Neil and their guests arrived for their beautiful destination wedding. The weather cooperated and wasn't too hot, and the view from the room as the sun set was gorgeous. There was some crazy dancing going on later, one of the big hits being Heavy D and the Boyz "Now That We Found Love." So fun! Loved working with my partner in crime, Sarah Rose Photography, and we both wished Neil and Tricia lived here so that we could be friends with them! They are awesome people! Best wishes to two truly gracious newlyweds. Photos by Sarah Rose Photography

Single adult dance- Mission Hills building
July 10, 2015
This country-themed dance was a blast. Thanks to the dance instructors who taught before the dance. We were able to use some of those newly-learned dances during the night! Great vibe last night with lots of great music. Loved that we got to break out some SKA skanking dance moves to the tune of "C'mon Eileen" by Save Ferris. Hadn't seen any of that for awhile, and it was awesome! Looking forward to the Halloween dance!

Always honored when longtime friends ask you to DJ/Emcee their reception. This party was destined to be great, as two local families united to celebrate, and the celebrate they did, with tons of fun dancing and just all around crazy fun. Great to be working with hometown girl Jessica B. Photography again too! Great pics!
Kylie and Ryan
June 20, 2015
I wanted to do a great job for my first nephew getting married and for his lovely bride Kylie, and I am so happy with how it all turned out. That last hour and a half was off the hook fun, with Kylie even going unexpectedly airborne thanks to her Dad and brother! So great to see this couple get such a fun start to their life together.

Devin and Kelsie
June 6, 2015
Devin and Kelsie started the evening with a gorgeous pond-side ring ceremony before getting the party started inside the newly-refurbished Sienna Country Club. Tons of fun with their guests, and the garter boy snuck up on Devin to steal the garter right out of his hand! Fun night, and thankful to be a part of it with my home town crew David Watkins (Celestial Catering) and Sarah Rose Photography.

Russell and Regan
May 15, 2015
Beautiful hanging lanterns lit up this back yard reception as guests hit the dance floor despite windy conditions. Regan's brothers performed the funniest song about how their sister should never get married.
Thanks to a fun couple and to their guests who braved the elements and were rewarded with a fun reception which ended with a monumental sparkler send off. Great working with the pros at EK Studios and Dave Watkins catering.

Brandon and Tara
April 18, 2015
Congratulations to Brandon and Tara! Their guests were so fun, and I had such a great time entertaining them. Learned a lot about our newlyweds from some very interesting toasts! Thanks Ciara and Seth! You know that moment when all the guests are singing Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" at the top of their lungs? Yep, that's a sign of a great party! Best wishes to a wonderful couple.

Matthew and Natasha

Beautiful lakeview wedding ceremony for Matthew and Natasha followed by a fun reception. This crowd definitely brought their dancing shoes. Had to reboot the bouquet toss after a dude standing off to the side caught the bouquet! Such a fun, hometown crowd. Great to see so many familiar faces.

Pinecrest Spring Fling
April 10, 2015
Wow! So many kids came to the Spring Fling! Jackson (my DJ in training) and I had a great time entertaining the elementary and junior high age kids at their annual Spring Fling dance. We had lots of fun prizes for winners of the hula hoop contests, canoe races and limbo contest. Plus, we got to play tons of fun music. These kids were hyped up! Sorry parents, they probably didn't settle down for hours after this hoopla! (Sorry, no pics due to private school privacy rules.)

Anthem Stake Aloha cruise
February 7, 2015
This Hawaiian cruise activity was the highlight of the year so far. In addition to a world class buffet and dancing, there was a lounge singer, magician, cinema and land excursions. Glad I could be a part of such a great evening.

Regional dance at Arrowhead
February 12, 2011
This was one of the best regional dances ever. Bam! We started right at 8 p.m. with a solid core, and we never stopped for three solid hours! The hula hoop game was a hit, and the 80s dance contest was especially fun to watch from my vantage point on the stage. You teens must be watching your parents dance! We had the sprinkler, running man, cabbage patch and robots going on, sometimes all at once.
Thanks to all of you for your compliments afterwards and on Facebook. It really means a lot to me to know you had such a great time. Hope to see you all again at a dance floor near you.

Langford Wedding
June 24, 2010
This outdoor tent wedding was right out of a movie! It was so perfect, and the weather was made to order. The decorations were the coolest shabby-sheik ever, and dancing under the tent was awesome. Brittany and her father are the best Father/Bride dancers I've seen in a long time. Had a great time, and the May Pole was a fun idea. Looking forward to daughter number three in a few years!
Best wishes!

Laurel-Priest dance at Elkhorn Springs
January 23, 2011
I love doing this dance each year! The youth are fun and love to dance and sing along to the songs (especially to "Don't Stop Believin'). This well-organized dinner-dance is something I wish had been around when I was teen. What a great way to meet people of the same age and faith.
Event highlights for me:
1) girl slow dancing while talking on her cell phone
2) two girls "swing" dancing and trying to do the back flip...unsuccessfully. :-)
3) guys coming up to the stage acting lonely so girls would ask them to dance during "Lady's Choice." I helped them out and got them dancing quickly.
Great event. See all you guys in August at your next stake dance if not sooner at a different stake.

Foothill High School Prom
June 24, 2010
Wow! This prom was off the hook! At one point, I could feel the floor at Dragonride bouncing with everyone moshing it up on the dance floor. Ladies...you looked beautiful. Gents...you were dashing and charming.
It was so much fun seeing all my students dressed up and having a great time. Great memories. Class of 2010...we'll all miss you. Best wishes.

These girls really knew how to have a good time. After the beautiful waltz and other formalities, the gals let it loose on the dance floor. Even Nanna and Cousin Ronny got in on the action.
Great time. Great music. Great memories.
Thanks for letting me be a part of such an important occasion.

Valley High School 20-Year Reunion
June 24, 2010
I had a blast at this event. Thanks to Sandy, Kong and Dax for creating such a great reunion weekend. This was the best high school reunion I've ever been to, and I think the guests came away with new memories to mix with their high school memories. My favorite moment of the night was when the whole group gathered around and sang "Living on a Prayer" at the top of their lungs! It was fantastic. Plus, I loved that I got to play some of the best music ever made!
Thanks class of 1990! You guys rock!

Todd and Katie Manning

What a great couple! I had the pleasure to entertain at Todd and Katie's wedding reception and had such a fun time. It was definitely a Party in the USA! It was also great to renew some old ties and see some familiar faces.
The new facility is a great place to host a wedding or any other event. My best to Todd and Katie in their future.

Hannah and LJ
August 30, 2009
Once again I had a fantastic time at a wedding. L.J. and Hannah Nielson were two of the most fun and happy people I've met in a long time. Their guests couldn't wait to dance, and as soon as the formal dances were over, they hit the dance floor in droves, gettin' crazy to "Boom Boom Pow!" I had a smile on my face the whole reception as the energy in the room was fantastic. What a great way to start a lifetime together.
My best to LJ and Hannah. Thanks for choosing me to entertain on the most important day of your life.
